Mashita’s Japchae

In case you missed Mashita’s sample table last Saturday, they're sharing their recipe for seasonal japchae, delicious sweet potato noodles stir fried with vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz cooked glass noodles

  • 2.5 oz Mashita’s sweetened soy

  • 2 oz sesame oil

  • 3 oz shredded carrot*, raw

  • Small handful spinach*, raw

  • 2 oz blanched broccoli*

  • 2 oz squash*, raw

    *These ingredients can be found at the Harrisonburg Farmers Market

Method

  1. Cook noodles according to packaging

  2. Blanch broccoli (about 2 min)

  3. Grab some sweetened soy from Mashita

  4. Heat sweetened soy and sesame oil in wok or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat

  5. Add other ingredients and stir until everything is heated thoroughly

  6. Top with your favorite protein if desired and enjoy
