No Churn Peach Sorbet

The end of summer has arrived, soak up the last bits with some fresh and simple peach sorbet. With little effort comes great reward from this recipe, as it requires no machine and few ingredients. It’s great as a dessert, or as a mixer with a beverage (like matcha or lemonade). I hope you love it!

  • Halee Jones

Ingredients

  • 1 box of peaches* (I decided to use white snow peaches)

  • Sugar, honey* or maple syrup*

  • Splash of vanilla

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • 1 Lemon* zested and juiced

*These ingredients can be found at the Harrisonburg Farmers Market

Equipment

  • Scale

  • Blender

  • Freezer friendly container

Method

  1. De pit and peel your peaches.

  2. Weigh your peaches and add a fourth of the weight in sugar.

  3. Add peaches, sweetener, vanilla, and sea salt to the blender.

  4. Blend the mixture, beginning on low and gently increasing the speed, until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  5. Add some lemon zest and juice, blend to mix, and taste. Add more lemon juice if it tastes too sweet. The lemon will help bring out the flavor of the peaches and balance the sweetness.

  6. Transfer the mixture to a freezer safe container and freeze for at least 5 hours.

  7. Before serving, remove from the freezer and let sit for ~10 minutes to get scoop-able.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
