Tulsi Sun Tea

I wait patiently all year for Tulsi to arrive at Avalon Acres. Last weekend at the Market the delicious smell of basils were in the air and of course I had to take a bag of Tulsi home. Tulsi is a delicious and sacred variety of basil that is wonderful for teas.

I added some to my homemade chai after a recommendation from a good friend, and of course had to make a batch of sun tea.

The heat of summer does all the work here. Leave out the tea leaves for an herbal option or add them in for something more uplifting - both are refreshing and soothing. Perfect for a hot summer weekend.
