About Us: My creations stem from the joy of working with my hands and a love of wood. My background with wood started many years ago in my former career as an orchestral repair technician servicing musical instruments. It is there that I honed my skill in various finishes that I have carefully carried over to the functional art objects that I create today using my lathe and other tools that were handed down to me from my father and grandfather. I started to turn holiday ornaments nearly fifteen years ago and these are still a staple in my inventory. I grew into bowls and then started to add hand carved spoons and Spirit Houses. In 2010 my wife and I moved to the Shenandoah Valley and started The WoodArt Studio. I currently am a member of the Association of Woodturners of America and the Woodturners of the Virginias. Whether it is wood from locally grown trees or those of a more exotic nature in every exclusive piece you will find a bit of my spirit bursting through.
